A Profound Healing Practice

Reiki is at the heart of my work. It is a gentle yet deeply powerful healing practice that supports you in restoring balance, calm, and overall wellbeing.

Originating in Japan and developed in the early 20th century by Mikao Usui, Reiki translates as “universal life energy.” I work with this subtle energy to support your body, mind, and spirit in returning to their natural state of harmony.

What Reiki Means in Practice


During an in person session, I act as a channel for healing energy, guiding it with focused intention to where it is most needed. Reiki works holistically — gently clearing energetic blockages, balancing your energy centres (chakras), and supporting your body’s innate ability to heal itself.

My approach is non-invasive, deeply respectful, and nurturing. Many clients experience warmth, soft tingling sensations, emotional release, or a profound sense of peace and relaxation. Each experience is unique, and I honour whatever arises for you in the moment.

Reiki works on many levels — physical, emotional, and spiritual. Clients often come to me seeking support with:

Stress Reduction I create a space where your nervous system can soften and reset, helping to reduce stress and anxiety.

Emotional Healing Reiki can gently support the processing of emotions, bringing clarity, balance, and a deeper connection to yourself.

Pain & Discomfort Many clients report relief from chronic pain or physical tension as energy begins to flow more freely.

Enhanced Self-Healing By restoring energetic balance, Reiki supports your body’s natural healing processes and overall vitality.

Personalised Reiki Sessions

Every session I offer is tailored to you. I listen carefully to your needs and intuitively adapt the experience to best support your healing journey.

Where appropriate, I may integrate complementary modalities such as:

Sound Therapy Using drums, tuning forks, chimes, or my voice, I introduce therapeutic sound vibrations that resonate with your body’s energy field. Sound can help release blockages, calm the nervous system, and deepen the healing experience.

Crystal Healing I may incorporate carefully selected crystals to amplify and focus the energy of the session. Placed on or around the body, they can support emotional balance, physical healing, grounding, or spiritual growth.


What to Expect During Your In Person Session

  • A typical session in person session will last between 60 and 90 minutes.

  • Preparation You will lie down fully clothed on a comfortable treatment couch. I create a calm and welcoming atmosphere with soft lighting, gentle music, and, if appropriate, crystals or sound instruments.

  • Energy Work I gently place my hands on or just above specific areas of your body. You may experience warmth, tingling, emotional release, or deep relaxation. There is nothing you need to do — simply rest and receive.

  • Integration & Reflection At the end of the session, we take time to gently return and reflect. I may share any insights that arose, and you are warmly invited to share your experience


What to Expect During A Remote Session

A typical session will last between 30 -60 minutes.

  • Preparation - We will generally work out the best time to arrange the session between us. At the given time, I will normally send a message around 10 minutes prior to let you know we will begin soon. At this time, if you can find a quiet space and either site or lay down to allow the healing session to begin. It would be beneficial if you are able to take this time to relax and either listen to calming music or try to do as little as possible.

    Energy Work I will direct the energy to the areas that seem to be open to the healing or conversely seem to have areas of blocked “chi”. You may experience a lightness, or an emotional release, or you may start to feel a level of deep relaxation. This could be accompanied by a feeling of warmth, or tingling, or you may not feel very much, as everyone will experience things in different ways. There is nothing you need to do — simply rest and receive.

  • Integration & Reflection At the end of the session, I will let you know that the session is over and will check in, to find out how it went for you. I would recommend that this is kept to a minimum at this time, so that you are able to enjoy the experience for as long as possible. We will speak again at a later date to reflect on the experience and to share any insights that arose, so that we can bear this in mind for future sessions.


Reiki for Specific Concerns

Reiki can be particularly supportive for:

  • Chronic Stress & Anxiety When combined with sound therapy, Reiki can deeply calm the nervous system and help restore emotional balance.

  • Emotional Healing Crystals such as rose quartz (supporting self-love and emotional healing) or amethyst (encouraging clarity and spiritual connection) may be used to enhance the session.

  • Physical Fatigue or Discomfort I may focus energy on specific areas of the body, sometimes incorporating grounding or amplifying crystals to support vitality and stability.
