These images show sculptural experiments undertaken during a three month student exchange to Kyoto City University of Arts, KCUA, in 2003. I was taught a range of techniques and how to use specific tools to process bamboo culms.

The sculptural shape was a result of exploring the flexible properties of bamboo.
